COACHING STAFF
Head Coach Dan Schultz Coach Schultz was affiliated with the Santa Clara Swim Club for 3.5 years, coaching with swimming legend, Dick Jochums. Santa Clara Swim Club has a rich tradition of producing great swimmers such as Mark Spitz and Tom Wilkens. Coach Dan's personal swimming background began as a high-school swimmer in his home state of Indiana, where he was two-time state champion, and six-time All American. His collegiate swimming career was at Stanford University, where he was a member of the 1998 National Championship Team and a teammate of our own alum, Olympian Gabrielle Rose. Coach Schultz was also a three-time All American and three-time runner-up at NCAA Championships. He graduated from Stanford with a degree in psychology, with an emphasis in psychobiology. He is married to Morgan, a native of Birmingham, Alabama.
Head Age Group Coach Scott O'Reilly Scott came to us from Erlanger Kentucky, where he was the Head Age Group Coach for the Northern Kentucky Clippers. Scott is a graduate of Notre Dame University and obtained his Master's Degree from Texas A & M, where he assisted in coaching both the women's team and Aggie Swim Camps. Scott works with the Black and Southeastern groups. He also teaches at St George's High School. He is married to Carleen, who is originally from New Jersey. They met in graduate school at Texas A&M.
Assistant Coach Joey Endler Joey comes to us from New Orleans where he was the Head Coach of the Ben Franklin High School Swim team
Assistant Coach Margie Smith (No Photo) Margie is the primary coach for the Silver group. She is currently a senior at Rhodes College, where she swam for a year and a half. Before college she swam for the Dad's Club near Houston, TX. She brings experience coaching all ages. In addition to coaching the Silver group, she will be helping out with the Southeastern and black groups. |
