The NAC Music City Invitational meet is over and the results have been posted.  There were some great swims and many best times.

Congratulations to Michael Sheppard and Elizabeth Luttrell for swimming quite well at the 2008 SC National Championship meet! Lizzy placed 49th out of 88 swimmers in the 200 back, with a best time of 2:01.99.  She also swam a best time in a 200 Free time trial, achieving a Jr. National time of 1:51.92;  Michael placed 32nd in the 100 back, with a best time of 50.14 and 14th during finals in the 200 back with a US Open time of 1:45.91. He also set three new Southeastern records...200 back SC, 100 back LC (57.94), a US Open cut,  and 200 back LC (2:04.79),  a Summer Nationals cut.

The results from the Germantown Thanksgiving Invitational have been posted.  Great swimming! Congratulations to Margaret Powe, who was the high point runner-up for the 8 and under girls.  She also broke a team record in the 25 fly.

Congratulations to all swimmers who swam so well at the MTS Fall Invitational!  There were many best times.  Special congratulations are in order for Margaret Powe, who set the meet record in the 25 Back, which has been held by our own Margo McCawley since 1995; also Michael Sheppard, who set the 15 & over meet records in the 100 Back and the 200 Back; Caitlin Cagna, who was high point runner-up in the 11-12 girls competition; and Ethan King who was high point winner of the 13-14 boys competition.

The Speedo Sectionals Meet was quite a challenge, and our Sectionals Team performed quite well. Thanks to our coach, Dan Schultz and to team mom, Cindy Black for accompanying the swimmers on this team trip. The team members were:  Mia Michalak, Patricia Black, Katie Biedenbach, Elizabeth Luttrell, Spencer Chappell, Bryan Hamann, Chris Clark, Michael Sheppard and Chris McCall.  Congratulations to Mia, Patricia, Lizzy, Spencer, Bryan, Chris Clark and Michael for swimming best times; and to Michael, Chris Clark, Spencer, Lizzie, Katie and Mia for going to finals.
